Foundation Center for analysis and institutional development — Eleutheria implements in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme, the Secretariat General of the Government Department for interethnic relations and the Alliance Association Civicaa in Romania, the project "Socialaca Economy Development Solution Communities Roma in Romania". (34922).

The project is co-financed from the European Social Fund, the sectoral Operational Programme for human resources development 2007-2013, priority axis 6 "promoting social inlcuziunii" major field of intervention for the development of social economy "6.1".

 

The project will be developed over a period of 3 years, having as main objective, strengthening capacitatatii the minority Roma inclusion for a sustainable economic development and creating jobs.

 

The specific objectives are:

1 formulating recommendations and reviewing best practices for Roma policy concerning social economy (national legislation, training strategies, development tools, financial and institutional environment of the social economy)

 

2 development of social economy structures; identifying business ideas (patterns) for target groups and the establishment of social enterprises under this model for the benefit of members of the Roma community.

 

3 promoting the concept and specific elements of social economy in Romani communities as flexible and durable tool for developing and creating jobs for the benefit of their members;

 

The project aims as:

· The collection of data about the potential of social economy (legislation, financial, institutional and social environment)

· Increasing awareness concerning the social economy and social inclusion among Roma communities from Romania

· Building a team experts to address issues of social economy applicable among Roma communities

· Handing over some concrete recommendations regarding benefits of social economy and the benefits of social development initiatives in the communities of Rome.

· The training and involvement of specialists and professionals from the field of social economy in matters relating to the implementation of the increased capacity of national and regional programmes which concerns the Roma minority.

· Increasing awareness concerning social economy among Roma;

· The conclusion of partnership and cooperation between institutions, profit and non-profit organizations for the development of social economy;

· The formation of professionals in social economy among community members and representatives of Roma institutions and organizations involved in the social sector.

· Establishment of social economy structures by the appointed experts together with representatives of institutions and organizations involved in the social sector trained through this project;

· Increasing awareness of social economy;

· The conclusion of partnership and cooperation between institutions, profit and non-profit organizations for the development of social partnerships;

· The formation of professionals in social economy and environment for the development of social economy.

· Increasing awareness of the concept of social economy and social inclusion among Roma communities from Romania.

 

The main activities of the project are:

1.      Formulation of recommendations relating to the current socio-economic situation from Roma

1.1.  Current situation analysis and report

1.2.  Best practice guide.

2.      Identification of optimal solutions of social interventions within the communities of Rome.

2.1.   Identification of ideas (patterns) of social initiatives for target groups

2.2.   The establishment of social enterprises.

3.      Promotion of social economy in communities of Rome

3.1 the campaign to promote the social economy among the target group.

3.2 the Organization concluding conference where they will be disseminated to project results and recommendations
