In the summer of 2005 we ran a research in Romania about the appearance and manner of spreading the ideas and institutions of freedom. I focused on libertarianismului because it represents the most radical manifestation of pro-market and most profound questioning of the role of the State in the economy. Indeed, the followers of Mises, Hayek, Rothbard, or are the best indicator of the sofisticarii and the degree of penetration of the ideas of freedom in a society.
The beginning of the process of delimitation of the diffusion of these ideas was simple, given the absence of infricosatoarea information about the free market institution before 1989. There were situations where he could take advantage of the exceptional fissures of the blockade of information. R Mihail Solcan recalls how he discovered the title ' Capitalism and freedom ' of his Milton Friedman in a number of lifetime's New Individualist Review '. But, in general, the blockade has been incredibly effective. Of course, ' 89 has opened up the market of ideas. but, only after 2000 I think we can talk about a strong diffusion of libertarian and classical liberal. Institute for Humane Studies had a decisive role through programmes initiated immediately after the revolution. But the movement could not catch than once would have appeared internal agents you his ideas. Aided by its function of a professor at the Faculty of philosophy in Bucharest, Romania, Radu Solcan becomes one of the promoters of economic and philosophical thinking in the spirit of the free market in Romania. The influence of the Department as a centre of irradiation is undoubtable, though the majority of students is not targeting libertariana. The same thing can be said about Abdullah from Abd A.S.E.
On the middle of the 1990s, attempts to provide education with a purely libertarian content, but that only through private seminars. A focal point is the seminar of Cristian Comanescu, initiated together with Dara Paul Eugene in 1994 through the Mises Institute-Romania. Meanwhile the two roads were opened, but the seminary continued, focusing on anarcho-capitalist interpretation of Ludwig von Mises, propagated by the Institute-mother of Auburn, USA. If Mises-Romania is noted for its homogeneity of common values of members of the Institute. in terms of diffusion of ideas, the Group specializes in the translation of texts in Romanian and in debates with quasi-circuit closed, neacordand public attention to contemporary debates. Cardoso described the best formula "trainer of trainers," whose followers spread in different institutional environments.
The explosion of young libertarian thinkers after 2000 is testimony to the growing community of libertarian and reputable success of the first wave of early libertarianism and the mid-1990s. Marius Spiridon (ASE), Glavan (Romanian-American University), Dan Carter (University of Bucharest), Ionut Divya (CADI), Tait (ASE), Jose (SNSPA), Andrei Merrill (CADI), Smyrna Talasila (Mises-Romania) are just some of the names of those who have made Romania to become quickly sincrona movement libertariana with Western ideas. last year, a group of young academics and freelancers, including Emanuel Sad (University of Bucharest), Sorin Tudor, Cucerai Galpo, Gahlout (University of Bucharest), Gabriel Mihalache, Matiur Rahman, Topan, Bogdan Enache, formed a new core network libertariana in Bucharest: Liberalism.ro Association. They add figures hard to categorize, like Rifat Ma P, on account of which circulate a true urban mythology. together, they have become as libertarianismul to be an academic and intellectual current represented at some level and intensity at which no party lawmaker roman can not even dream of.
However, in its current stage, the movement is far from being mature. outside Bucharest network wires are thin and small academic community at constranse. Nabid, whose major influence in coordination of seminars desanturilor the Romanian Institute for Humane Studies in Aix-en-Provence, lead a group in Cluj and conducted a seminar for students. Hayek Although there is a working network epistemica Bucharest-Cluj, persist partition obstacle. The signal of a libertarian communities mature will be given only when libertarienii from Romania will gain a significant market share in the most watched channels, but it depends on a parallel intellectual maturation general public demand for information. Libertarian views of accents of Horia-Roman Patapievici have sometimes gotten from the public through his books, and more recently Cucerai Sadiq Jaffer, and Cosmin publicisti with solid academic background, they found ways of trading the libertarian journalism. These are clues that the critical point is approaching and as an intellectual movement well outlined will be able to occupy the place in public discourse. My study suggests that ideas spread according to a particular pattern, and measuring the breadth of this print help us determine the degree of maturity of the libertarian community. The initial stage occurs within the academic. I saw this also in Romania. After this stage generates a defined group of intellectuals, he becomes inevitably unstable, once members are trying different ways to carry the ideas further. New forms of manifestation and organization are created. Begins to develop a reputation for fighting and looking for links with the practice of politics. at this point, the media are starting to play a role as a catalyst, and the identity of the specific libertariana begins to become an element taken into account in the intellectual and opinionated of a country. This is the point of approaching the assessment made in my study, movement libertariana from Romania.
