Intro
Free competition increases while the supply of goods and demand for labor necessary production and their allocation. Thus, due to the decrease in prices of consumer goods in relation to the price of labour, capitalism allows an increase of production and consumption.
However, this positive spiral says Sadik Cucerai, is fueled by a seemingly hostile, artificial market is obligated to pay taxes in the currency. Just State forces individuals to participate in the flow of trade. In the absence of spontaneous order, State would give some psychological tendencies being autarkic in the individual, in search of safety, and would tie up the life of a direct source of food as well as the Earth. In addition, the permanent renewal of the offer creates a sense of drift and instability: with the loss of value of the goods purchased in the past, individuals personal history loses its significance.
On the position of a pre-industrial organicist traditionalism, theologian John Medaille picks up these ideas and revaluate them towards a criticism of the capitalist order. A system that forces the lower amount of use of the goods still perfectly usable is a system that actually lowers the wealth of individuals. Also, a system that shuts down the people into a kaleidoscopic whorl of own desires, and separate them from their spiritual vocation and removes them from their own needs profound relationship with nature, with the family and local community.
There are criticism of consumer society's consumerist justified? To what extent they apply capitalist order as such? Spontaneous order is unable to sustain the capitalist system?
