The freedom of competing increases goods offer and labour force request needed for production and their allot. So, prices go down proportionally with work costs, and capitalism allows a continual growth for both production and consumption. But this is a positive spiral, says Sorin Cucerai and is fed by an artificial element, apparently hostile to the market, which is currency tax paying obligation. Is the state himself that forces people to take part on the market changes flow? Without the state, the spontaneous order would carry forward the psychological autarchic tendencies. In that way the individual searching for security, would link his life to a direct source of food, the ground. More than that, the constant offer renewal creates an insecurity feeling: once they lose the past goods’ acquisition value, personal history of the individual loses its meaning.

With a traditional organic preindustrial view, the theologian John Medaille revaluates this ideas form a general capitalist order critique. A system that forces the decreases of household goods value, that are still functioning, is a system that weaknesses one’s wealth. Likewise, a system that closes the individuals into such noisy diverse environment of their own desires, also lock them away from their spiritual vocation and profound needs, the relationship with nature, family and local community.

Is the criticism on consumption society justifiable? Is it applicable to capitalist order as it is? Is the spontaneous order incapable to sustain the capitalist system?
