Together with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, CADI-Eleutheria has organized the “Growing the economy through developing the SMEs” conference.

The first part of the event was a round table at which the entrepreneurs discussed about what is missing and what is needed for the Romanian small and medium enterprises to be able to develop according to the optimist growing expectations, regarding this segment of the market economy. The identified problems contained elements from all areas of their operating environment, including: the inaccessibility of the bank financing, issues created by the regulated, legislative and fiscal environment, as well as human resources issues and interpersonal relations.

The second part of the event was a public conference in which these problems were presented by the moderator (Horia Terpe, CADI-Eleutheria) and they were given answers by a panel formed of Bogdan Olteanu, National Bank of Romania Vice-Governor; Cătălin Beciu, Secretary of State for SMEs in Ministry of Economy, Trade and Tourism; Valentin M. Ionescu, entrepreneur and ex-Privatisation Minister and Daniel Kaddik, Director of Projects for South-East Europe at Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom.
