Academic space freedom has more than one justification: free competition plays the role of an incentive in finding the truth, freedom guarantee protects the evolution of ideas and education from political pressure of the moment and encourages the evolution of the critical spirit that is essential in self-autonomy. How did different, current institutional and organizational settings to put into practice these principles? What functions and consequences have regulations as: collegiate government or occupational safety? How can we evaluate, by comparison, entrepreneurial university, political university and bureaucratic university?
