What will you do if you were to choose between 1. killing someone to save other five lives and 2. not doing anything but witnessing other five people dying, unless you act? What is the morally correct action to take? This is the hypothetical scenario presented by Michael Sandel in the opening of moral rationalism course form Harvard University.

When is the cannibalism morally correct? Sandel makes an introduction of philosophical principals borrowed from Jeremy Bentham, anbutilitarian philosopher. He discusses the following case: The famous 19th century law-suit of four sailors shipwreck. Nineteen days later, Capitan decides to murder the weakest of them, to provide meat for the rest, so they can survive.
