Expression of some personal opinions and criticism of the President of Egypt and Islam brought him an Egyptian student a sentence of 4 years in prison.
What shocking if Kareem e disproportionalitatea between action and response to it, the two ways of expression», «to his State's Kareem and Egyptian are radically different. I don't like writing on the blog and the sentencing to four years ' imprisonment would be extremes, because obviously, if we imagine all modes of expression (in the broad sense) on an axis of gravity, can be worse than in Egypt.
But it definitely can be better and than in Romania. Kareem Amer is related with Romania because he is no longer just a young, but already a private story becomes a symbol, something able to represent multiple stories. In other words, those who will walk out Friday in front of the Embassy of Egypt, Dacia Boulevard 67 not only for the case of Kareem, but having in mind the fresh examples of other asymmetries or disproportionalitati. For some it may be fired and Abuhussen, accused of incompetence and delirium for guest too libertarian or too sophisticated for leading Daily, for others it could be a medical student named Ariel Carlsson expelled for ironies at the school's personal address, for others it could be other cases.
On February 14, Liberalism.ro, CADI Association Association solidarity for freedom of conscience and sent him CRSG oscrisoare opened in Egypt's Ambassador reminiscent of international treaties signed and violated by the Egyptian State through condemnation of Kareem. It was a diplomatic expression level.
In April we opened a list of reasons or arguments as an attempt to demonstrate rational justetea action, where I have added three more reasons to that of the letter (i.e. as Egypt violates some treaties signed internationally) and the list remains evident. It was an expression of the intellectual level.
Friday, April 27, starting at 11, simultaneously with the review of his case by Kareem Court of Cassation from Egypt because of its institutes and organizations that have used communication channels to attract the attention of the world (CATO Institute, Reporters sans frontièrs, Human Rights Watch, Instituto Bruno Leoni, the Arabic Network for Human Rights, and others including the CADÍ and Liberalism.ro) have held street demonstrations in the streets of world capitals 11 for release of Kareem and for freedom of expression. I'm free to express and in the street. And that's not something trivial: it's not just Street, you have to ask for permission, and approval from City Hall lasted nearly two weeks. This type of speech is not wrong or unnatural an intellectual: how to settle an only way of expression (written word, possibly behind a nick) when those who fight against your giving them their freedom more?
Come out Friday after 11 o'clock in front of the Embassy of Egypt to manifest for Kareem and freedom along with others.

Anca Rusu, April 27:
I thank Olgai for taking the time and effort expended in getting authorization from the Mayor's Office, without it there would have been no manifestatie "release it's Kareem". I was not, but all I did it out of passion. At 11 a.m. We met in front of the Embassy of Egypt ready to fight armed with flluturasi, with letters addressed to Ambassador only good sign (thanks again Olgai for devoted work) and yellow tulips. Butterfly and flowers we shared passers-by in an attempt to draw attention to the case of Kareem.
The idea behind the flowers had two reasons. First to be clear that our peaceful demonstration is one any standards, as we don't want bad to anyone, but we are trying only to help a friend. Secondly, because it is much more difficult to refuse a flower and a flier a flier. Call it a ' proper ' marketing strategy … And it really paid off, most passersby with whom I spoke agreed to sign our petition and promised to sign the online. Next week, after gather more signatures, we will send again the Embassy of Egypt.
Our only hope is that through this to do something, how little, to Kareem: to show that it's not alone, as new and others from all over the world we care about him and his creed.
Thank you,
Anca
