Military technique of "defense in depth" is to protect a goal with several defensive lines increasingly harder. As the attack progresses, it gets to be vulnerable on the flanks and ultimately neutralised through invaluire. Richard Weaver makes an analogy between defending in depth and the idea of power-sharing in the path of a terrible opponent as well as the federal State, the political authorities must be placed new, local authorities or other organisations. This is also the method by which politicians practice conservatives fail to protect individual freedom. By contrast, libertarian individualists theorists, says Weaver, adopt the technique to add the last lines ineffectively, forgetting that actually cleans up the land just for the advancement of the enemy. These challenges, Richard Weaver, nor are they true individualists.
