Introduction
"When the doctors offering patients the means to commit suicide, they may have other reasons besides death patients: can reduce them foster anxiety regarding the possibility of suffering a intolerabila at the end of life; to offer patients more options and a greater sense of control about when and how they will die; to prevent premature discontinuation by the patient of whom maintain in life because of the fear that later will not have this control. Dan Brock
Assisted suicide positions range varies significantly. At one end of the spectrum lies those who argue for the existence of a right to assisted suicide, based on a person's right to make decisions that are essential for its autonomy and dignity. At the other end lies those who believe that legalizing assisted suicide will not be able to prevent abuses. The problem is complicated in addition a number of distinctions, such as that between "killing" and "let it die".
